Weekend mornings (10am–1pm) are our busiest dim sum service — come early or book ahead for a table.
In the heart of the I.D.
You’ll find us on South King Street between 6th and 7th Avenue South, in the Chinatown–International District. The Chinatown–ID light-rail and streetcar stops are a three-minute walk, and there’s metered street parking plus the public garage on South Jackson. We’re a flat, step-free entrance with accessible seating — just ask.
Questions, answered
Do I need a reservation?
Not for a table of two or three — walk in and we’ll pour you a pot while you wait. For four or more, especially on weekend mornings, we’d recommend booking ahead by phone or through the form above.
Is dim sum served all day?
Yes. Unlike a traditional cart service, we fold and steam to order every hour we’re open, so you can have har gow at noon or at nine.
Do you have vegetarian options?
Plenty — vegetable dumplings, dou hua, mapo tofu (ask for the meat-free version), gai lan and more. Look for the green tags on the menu, and tell your server about any allergies.
Can I buy tea to take home?
Most of our loose-leaf teas are available by the ounce, and we’ll grind pu-erh off the cake for you. Ask at the tea counter and we’ll send you home with brewing notes.
Can you host a group or celebration?
We love a long table. For birthdays, family gatherings or a tea tasting, email reservations@tongchiao.com and we’ll build a menu around your group.
